Update

You know this is the time to hate school

Really is but I am having second thoughts about that. Take away the pressure of work it is actually quite nice. Call me weird but all this pressure to complete projects and to study is really agreeing with me. I work better under pressure, maybe...
Okayyy. I am not exactly in full control of my senses.
You would ask what kind of kid like 10th grade ICSE syllabus.

Let me tell you.

Cake Disaster

On last Tuesday, I baked a cake. Well actually tried to bake a cake.  In the beginning I was super excited, imagining myself holding a wonderful cake an eating it with ice cream an dthen like telling friends about it and stuff.

But my dreams was quickly shattered by the smell coming out of the oven! First time and I had burnt my cake.
This picture is not an original one

It is the 5 minute chocolate mug cake recipe that I got online. The second time I did not have any measures with me and I sort of guessed and did it. I was pretty surprised  when it came out fine. Well to be honest, not exactly fine. I put too little chocolate and a bit too much egg. Anyway my hopes returned I set out to make a third one later that week.

*LATER*
I give up!!! I tried to bake thrice and all three times I failed.

Third time and something is definitely wrong. Everyone else but me said the cake is okay but I could not even taste the cake. Maybe I should try buying cakes from the store!

Update

You may have noticed that I have been adding some recipes. This is because I plan to delete one of my blogs and convert this into a mix.So most probably form now on you would hear  my kitchen exploration stories as well.

Biscuit Pudding

This is a recipe I got from a magazine at is at least as old as I am. This item is very easy to make and will be enjoyed by kids.

What You Need

  •               Biscuit- a packet or two. You can take your favorite biscuit but not a flavored one. You can use arrowroot,  tiger biscuit, Britannia etc. The amount you need depends on the size of the bowl you use
  •               Instant coffee - I used Bru.
  •               Hot water - one and a half glass.
  •               Sugar- 2 tbsp
  •               Vanilla Ice cream- litre

Method
Take a rectangular bowl ( make sure that it can fit into your freezer) and completely cover the bottom using the biscuits. If there are any cracks in between the biscuits you have to cover it by crumbling the biscuit into powder and then putting it in between. Te layer should be almost 2 cm thick.

Now mix the hot water, instant coffee powder and sugar just like you would do to make black coffee.Pour it over the biscuit layer to just soak it. You have to take care not to put too much coffee or when you freeze the pudding the excess water will form ice at the bottom ruining the taste of the pudding. And I learned this the hard way!

After soaking the biscuits it is time to take out the ice-cream!!! Cover the biscuit by putting ice cream over it 3-4 cm thick. Spread on generously.

Now again line with the biscuits like said above. Soak it following the instructions given above. ( Don't use too much water). Now again spread ice-cream.

Now cover the lid and pop it in the freezer. Keep it overnight. Next day you can cut it up and serve with choco sauce.

Suggestions.

For me cooking is about EXPERIMENTATION!!  So you can follow me and do whatever you want but I say THE WATER IS TRICKYYY

Fried Rice

Yippee I made fried rice all by myself. I even cut the veggies. The pics are below. Mind you they are not as great as the kashmir pics. This is because I took these pics when there was no lights, using a flashlight and the camera of a mobile. Then I made pasta and I am going to try a cake!!!

My quotes

I like writing down my favorite quotes on the margin of my journal. Here is one of my quotes. I don't know the source. I must have read about it somewhere.

He drew a circle that left me out,
Heretic, rebel a thing to flout,
But love and I had the wit to win,
We drew a circle that took him in.

Why do I like this quote? Because when someone like snubs me or something, I think of this quote.
