Biscuit Pudding

This is a recipe I got from a magazine at is at least as old as I am. This item is very easy to make and will be enjoyed by kids.

What You Need

  •               Biscuit- a packet or two. You can take your favorite biscuit but not a flavored one. You can use arrowroot,  tiger biscuit, Britannia etc. The amount you need depends on the size of the bowl you use
  •               Instant coffee - I used Bru.
  •               Hot water - one and a half glass.
  •               Sugar- 2 tbsp
  •               Vanilla Ice cream- litre

Method
Take a rectangular bowl ( make sure that it can fit into your freezer) and completely cover the bottom using the biscuits. If there are any cracks in between the biscuits you have to cover it by crumbling the biscuit into powder and then putting it in between. Te layer should be almost 2 cm thick.

Now mix the hot water, instant coffee powder and sugar just like you would do to make black coffee.Pour it over the biscuit layer to just soak it. You have to take care not to put too much coffee or when you freeze the pudding the excess water will form ice at the bottom ruining the taste of the pudding. And I learned this the hard way!

After soaking the biscuits it is time to take out the ice-cream!!! Cover the biscuit by putting ice cream over it 3-4 cm thick. Spread on generously.

Now again line with the biscuits like said above. Soak it following the instructions given above. ( Don't use too much water). Now again spread ice-cream.

Now cover the lid and pop it in the freezer. Keep it overnight. Next day you can cut it up and serve with choco sauce.

Suggestions.

For me cooking is about EXPERIMENTATION!!  So you can follow me and do whatever you want but I say THE WATER IS TRICKYYY
